The Grandfather brings a unique brand of metal out of Wake Forest, NC. The four piece has been fairly quiet recently, hard on work on some fresh, slamming new music. Earlier today the guys released a brand new song, “Stone.”
This track is the follow up to the song “Tomb” that the band released last month. This completes a two part release to show get us even more stoked for a full-length album release slated for late Fall.
When the band posted “Stone” to their Facebook page, they added, “We packed in as much groove as we possibly could into one song to get your neck bone moving.”
Mission accomplished.
“Stone” heads in a different direction that “Tomb” with more of a heavy stoner-rock vibe. This song is four and a half minutes of pure intensity. The raspy hardcore vocals really seal it for me; “Stone” is a groovy, sludgy metal track that will appeal to fans of nearly any kind of aggressive music.
