Rottweiler Records has just announced Immortal Souls as the label’s newest members. Rottweiler Records is a Ft. Wayne, Indiana-based record label with a growing roster of devastatingly heavy artists in genres ranging from punk to death metal.

Based out of Kokkola, Finland, Immortal Souls has been playing together since 1991, as their sound progressed from a slow doom metal into their current brand of melodic death metal. Vocalist A. Sarkioja describes their sound as “fast paced and highly melodic; like a winter wind at a beautiful frost morning, heavy and aggressive; as fierce as winter can be. This is Winter metal.” Amid the gloom and the frosty imagery, at the heart lyrics of Immortal Souls, there remains a message of hope and perseverance in the midst of brutality and struggle.

Immortal Souls has released ten incredible albums already in their career, and are set to halt the spring thaw with the release of their eleventh, titled Wintermetal.

Rottweiler Records’ Shawn Browning explains, “The opportunity to work with such seasoned veterans in the Scandinavian metal scene is very exciting to say the least. I can’t wait to see the responses to Immortal Souls “Wintermetal” release. It’s my humble opinion that this is by far their greatest release to date.”
