Ten Second Review: Impending Doom – “The Wretched and Godless”

It’s been five years since we’ve heard from Impending Doom but now – they’re back! Yesterday the band released a new track, “The Wretched and Godless.”

A new full-length album, Sin and Doom: Vol II  drops June 22/2018.

TEN SECOND REVIEW

“The Wretched and Godless” is creepy, it’s heavy, and it is a great reminder of how much I loved this band. As it clocks in at only 2:55, I was definitely left wanting more.  I would have loved a crushing breakdown at the end of the track with the lines, “Sometimes I wouldn’t blame God if He lit the world on fire,” because I think it could have punched with a bit more emotional weight. With every listen, “The Wretched and Godless” got me more and more excited for this record to come out.  This new track jams hard, and Doom fans will definitely dig it.
