Holy+Gold is an Atlanta-based band made up of former members of Norma Jean, The Chariot, and The Glass Ocean. In late 2016, the band released Feral Children as a “pay-what-you-want” on Bandcamp. For a few weeks, it was the best-selling rock album on the site and racked up a huge amount of streams. An official release for the album has been slated for February 17, 2017.
The band members have all known each other for a long time but only recently formed Holy+Gold after making an effort to spend more time playing music together when other responsibilities got in the way.
Holy+Gold is:
Scottie Henry (Norma Jean)
Keller Harbin (The Chariot/The Glass Ocean)
Brandon Henderson (The Chariot)
Heath Ladnier (The Glass Ocean)
Justin Graham (The Glass Ocean)
Feral Children was recorded beginning in early 2016 in the home studio of Dave Fountain (Murder By Death). Apparently, it was also partially recorded in a tool shed that doubles as the band’s practice space. Ryan Boesh mixed and mastered the album at Parhelion Studios.
A limited number of vinyl copies of Feral Children will be printed. These will feature inserts numbered and signed by the band. Pre-orders will each include a digital copy of the record. Expected vinyl ship date is late April.
