Mannapool release stunning, cinematic video for “Mayday” from new EP

Mannapool (prog-rock from Sault Ste. Marie, ON) recently released their much-anticipated video for “Mayday,” the first single from their upcoming EP Full Hearts . Half Hearted.

The band filmed in Sault Ste. Marie landmarks to capture some local history as backdrop to the story.  Locations included the Norgoma historic ship museum, Pervis Marine, the former “Docks” restaurant, and the old St. Mary’s Paper Mill historic site.

“Mayday” is a dynamic song artfully paired with engaging storytelling and stunning cinematography to produce this breathtaking result:

The “Mayday” video is a project about a year in the making from the beginning stages to final edits. The band says that doing the video was enjoyable but certainly a chilly experience. Aside from the performance shots and the restaurant scene, all of the filming was done in damp weather hovering around 1 degree Celsius.

Also of note, the Captain and his daughter are played by local actors Vince  and Tiff Groulx who are actually father and daughter.

Shot/directed by 8:56  and  Jfilms with the help of Sault College film students.
